Withlacochee River 8-27-05

Post by catchin1 »

Sat. was my oldest sons 18th birthday and he wanted to fishing for part of his birthday celebration. He likes to freshwater fish so we went for some Redbellies at the cochee. Armed with crickets, pond worms and beetle spins we hit the water around 7:00 am for 25 minute ride upriver. We hit all our favorite spots. Bottom fishing some spots , pitchin the spins in others with not too much sucess. Water was still a little high and little muddy, we didn't get the numbers we'd liked but we wound up with a nice enough mess to fry for his birthday supper. All in all tho its a great trip, fishing with my boy and talking football and The Braves. Seeing the river its self is worth the trip

Here is the birthday boy with a nice redbelly

"Good Judgement" comes from experience, ... and a lot of that..... results from "Bad Judgement".
