I went for the first time sat. That river is the definition of "teeming with fish"!
I was able to catch some smaller brim, but saw some sho'nuff bigguns. Saw some very nice bass.
I want to return, and am looking for advice on how to fish this river for big brim and bass?

Been fishin it for 20 years mostly panfish. Getya about 200 crickets go until the river starts to narrow and get deep that will be above the tressel to well below it, get ya one of those tree grabber clamp things , battery cable ends or what ever so you can clamp on to a tree as an anchor to hold your position. Fish in front of any thing that protrudes into the river, logs grass beds etc. catch the quality fish at each spot and move on, bluegills, stumpknockers, flybream, redbellies, mudfish, bass, pike, you will tear them up guaranteed. Ive seen ducks, turkeys, deer, hogsand every thing else, even harvested a few species at the appropriate time it will be some of the best time you could ever spend. about a 14 ft. pole will be perfect #4 eagleclaw bream hook and small split shot and man that stuff is gooooood in the fryer
