Autumn is here , The beach is empty , kids are in school and the fish are hungry. This week has been blues and ladyfish , but red fishing is as strong as ever. We have taken trout , redfish, Spanish ,and along with the blues and ladyfish. We have also been getting a few good black snapper on the inshore structure. Most of the fish have been cruising the outside beach but we have landed them inside just as well. We are still throwing a good spoon and a few top waters such as top dogs, producer and spooks. We like the bone color or of course red and white . The snapper were caught on the spoons as well as a red and white curly tail jig. I even landed a turtle on a gold spoon . Lucky for the turtle , the hook snagged him under the top of his shell it was wedged there and released unharmed. Went flounder gigging and crabbing one night this week
Did manage a dozen or so crabs , but floundered on the flounder we nabbed only 4 good ones . The customers enjoyed it as it was their first trip ever gigging and of course I didn’t have my camera.
nothing is free except cheese and its in a mouse trap
