Shell Point 9/27

Post by tiburon »

I took advantage of my last vacation day and the decent weather (finally), and went fishing with a friend yesterday. Left the Shell Point ramp around 0830, no honor box (thank god, since I always thought that $10 were too much for that ramp). Started fishing the outer oyster bars before high tide by the first island, and we landed couple of fat trouts, a red, and a flounder. Move to Piney Island after high tide and caught couple of short, and large Pin fish were all over the area. Move from there to another spot (grid latter in 2010), and the bit was on for about 2 hours until the weather gods told us to go home. We caught trout, lady fish and loss couple of Spanish Macs.

The weather was little windy at times, and the water choppy, but the fish didn’t mine. We fish with live shrimp under CT, DOA, pin fish, spoons, and top dog, but the live shrimp had the best result.

We ended up with

9 keeper trout 16â€
