We first tried to launch the boat on a dead low tide at the old boat ramp on 98 next to the bridge. I was trying to power-off the trailer and found a rock or some concrete. I ended up with a load of fresh dings on my prop.

It was a bit chilly but not as cold as the weatherman had promised it would be when Me, DucTapeKing and Rodbow finally put the boat in at Mashes Sands in Panacea.

The sunrise was awesome, winds light and air temp was around 45.

The plan was to head to the bridge and fish for sheepshead. We tied off to a piling and scraped oysters and barcacles from a few pilings for chumming the sheepies and fished a while. To my surprise Rodbow landed the first “keeperâ€

WTG. :thumbup: :thumbup: Yall did better than I ever did there, I only caught a few little fish under the bridge. But it always looked like it should hold some in winter.

DTK showed us a few deep holes between the bridge and the gulf that were 20-29'. After seeing as many fish on the fish finder as I saw in other areas, I was quite amazed we didn't catch more. If you ever try to fish the area, don't try the landing on 98 on low tide unless you have a tiny aluminum boat, or a yak.

It was a beautiful day on the water, with some good company!!! Thanks again to MJ Signs for taking me out on his boat. I heard it was haunted by the spirt of some old salt who used to own it, But if fired up everytime and ran great. Thanks again Mike and Dave I had a great time.

It's been my experience that when ever Rodbow is on board.... you can expect to be "upstaged"! :o
"Good Judgement" comes from experience, ... and a lot of that..... results from "Bad Judgement".

Sir- Your are exactly right.... I thought I was the "Sheepshead King" and now I feel quite humbled.

DTK- That "Old Salt" that sold me that old boat taught me how to take care of her every electrical and mechanical need. I couldn't have done it without his assistance at almost every turn. I Sure miss hearing from that old fella, I'm gonna be needing his advice to fix all them new dings on the tips the prop blades...

We gottta go fishin again sometime soon :thumbup:
