Needed someone crazy enough to go fishing with me today so I gave TinCan a call. He readily accepted and we hit the LH around 12:00 today. We had to wait for a little water to show up before we could launch the boat but we were soon on our way.

It was cold, but we made it to an area both of us had neglicted to catch redfish in before. Throwing spinnerbaits and jigs, we soon started catching reds. Ended the day with 9 redfish to 26"'s.

Ran into Capt. Vic Davis, who was out scouting trout and showing off his new boat. That is 1 great looking boat, Capt. Vic.

Had a great time T.C. Look forward to the next trip.

Can't wait until next time.

WE DID MANAGE TO CATCH SEVERAL TROUT AND A RED FROM THE SHORE DOWN AT THE JETTIES WHILE WE WAITED FOR THE TIDE TO COME IN ENOUGH TO FLOAT THE BOAT.
I BET IT WAS REALLY COLD, CARL AND I CAN NOT TAKE IT ANYMORE WHEN IT IS AS COLD AS IT WAS TODAY.

Pa, it was one of those days you had to want to be out there. I'm happy I've finally found a couple of folks that can show me how to catch a fish. :-D

It was worth the trip. We learned about an area neither of us knew much about, and caught fish.

One correction, it was Capt. Vic Davis we ran into. Capt. Vic has a new boat he was trying out yesterday. He said he had it custom built in Texas. It's hard to describe, but if any of you see it, you'll know that's it. It's the only one like it in this part of the country. Yes, chalk, it's a Texas style boat.

Birddog, as usual, I thoroughly enjoyed the trip, and look forward to many more. I only have one request. Would you get a heated pad made for your poling platform? That aluminum is hard, and cold.

Ms. Tin Can asked that I tell you she was glad to finally meet you. She feels better knowing there are other idiots in this world crazy enough to go and keep an eye on me on days like yesterday. However, she is somewhat concerned that you also know, and fish with Chalk. She made some mention of the world not being safe if the three of us are ..................................well, you know.

Looks like that boat would take a wave right over the gunwale!
