Fished from 2:00PM - 6:00PM. I did OK - caught 6 small bass: 2 on senkos, 1 on yamamoto grub worm, 2 on cranks, 1 on a small jerk bait. Biggest was only about a 1 1/2 lbs. Lost two others at the boat. I did see what looked to a huge bass (8 - 10 lbs?) thrashing in some flooded brush. I saw a splash and a huge tail rolling. I don't know if it was spawning activity or not. The water temp was around 64 in open water, but upper 60s in the shallows. Spring is close!
There were lots of fish on the bed on the st. johns last weekend, but that water is warmer there than here. Yeah the males should start to move up soon!
