Wild Fishing Video

Post by PerryFisherMan »

Below is a link to a pretty wild fishing video. The fellows in the video sound like they are speaking spanish?, so I assume this is not in the USA. The fellows are in a boat at night, hitting the boat and flashing a light. Fish are jumping everywhere - watch the video until the end (where it gets hectic). StupidVideos.com is a good place to waste some time.

PS - Please make sure you select either Windows Media or Quicktime to see the video. I had to select Quicktime.

"The video is a shortened version of a longer clip that originated on the Brazilian Pesca Rondônia web site. ("Pesca" is the Portuguese word for "fishing," and Rondônia is a northern Brazilian state in the Amazonian region known for its great fishing rivers.)

The footage was taken in the Guaporé region, on a portion of the Mequens River inside the Porto Rolins Park (a protected conservation area) where fishing is forbidden.
The jumping fish shown in the video are matrinxã (Brycon cephalus), a Brazilian fresh water species."

I found this explanation on the Snopes website.

I use to get a similar reaction from women. ;-)

That is similar to "Extreme Bow Fishing" which is for a certain carp that was brought over from China (I think) and introduced and now having a problem with due to over population. You can even book a trip with this guide!
