Launched the boat from the LH around 11:30 and headed west. The plan was to fish for awhile then pick up Reel Slow at Wakulla Beach after he got off work for an afternoon of redfishing. Well, about the time I get to fishing hotspot #1 the phone rings and its RS. Nothing like a little motivation to get your work done early.

I buzz over to Wakulla Beach, RS wades out to the boat and we're off. The wind was terrible(big surprise) but there was a really nice tide so we made do. We spent the next 6 hours steadily catching or missing reds and trout. The bite was really good during the rise and the slack high but seemed a little off on the fall.

Total for the day:
15 reds to 26"
7 trout to 18" ( sorry RS on the way back to the LH, I passed a flat that was slick as glass and that was just begging to have a topwater bait worked over it. )

Caught them on spoons, skitterwalks and hard jerkbaits.

Great day on the water with a good friend. Can't wait til next time.

Looks like a good day on the water boys. Reel Slow, let me know next time you guys are going. I've got a chartreuse shirt that would look real good next to Robbie's blaze orange one. I'll let you borrow it.
