Econfina 4-28

Post by Welby »

Ended my week of vacation with a trip to Econfina. My buddy and I hit the water about 11AM. Not to rough but not as smooth as I had thought it would be. We fished as hard as I ever have to get a two man limit of trout and a flounder as a bonus. Didn't leave the water till 8 PM, but this time it had laided down to almost smooth it made for a great ride back in with the sun almost setting. As for the fishing, the fish we caught were scatered and with no pattern to brag about. Covered 38 miles total (including drifting) on the GPS for the day. Keep thinking if we stuck with it the bite would turn on. It never happened, we just picked up one here then fish fish fish and finally another. I felt like conditions were perfect but from what I heard on the radio everyone else in that area was struggling as well. A great day on the water and I'll be back soon......

Sounds like a pretty good day even with the tough fishing.

Sounds like an Einstein quote to me!

Weekend off and on with wind...limits of fish but not easy....
I agree...still best place to be!
