13 pounds for the best 5

Post by Jumptrout51 »

We fished hard today east of the lighthouse mostly in 8 feet or deeper. We weighed over 13 pounds for our best 5 fish. We released fish over 20". We caught cobia, grouper, rockbass, flounder and other assorted species. Trouttrent was supposed to go with me. He chickened out because of the weather report. Basshole wasn't scared so he and I went.

If Wevans would be a little more specific I could buckle down. Should I fail to win tomorrow I will definitely blame it on Wevans.

Don't remember what JT51 had,

Michael and I had 14lbs. 13oz. 2nd place, our big trout was 5lbs. 0 oz., 25"

Winners had 15lbs. 2oz. they had big trout 6lbs. 2oz.

it was a good tournament, I think 15 boats had over 11lbs.

It was a little stormy at the weigh in, But that's just part of it.
If we were all crazy, Wouldn't that make us all normal.

It's official

Post by Jumptrout51 »

Its' official. Wevans caused me not to win. We had 11 pounds 8 ounces for Teamseatrout yesterday. So did about 15 other boats. We fished hard from 6:45am until 1 o'clock and had no trout in the boat. Our last stop at 1 o'clock produced 9 keepers from 19 to 23 inches. Left there at 2:20pm to head to the ramp.
Had 1 breakoff 10 feet out that would have put us in the money.
As soon as it broke the line I thought of Wevans and how stingy he is with a stinking little number. :smt013
