Got on the water at 6:30, a bit chilly but very little wind. Went out to the spoil bar and the first fish on was around 25 inches
broke my new rod when I set the hook
but got him almost to the boat before the line broke and he left with my new Sitter Walk
The bite was slow and I had two 17's, a 19 7/8, and a 22 incher when I left at 11:30 ta come get the wife and yougin
stopped by Crum's and they replaced the broken rod with another
Wife and youngin was nowhere ta be found so, I eat and went back by myself
with the high tide, I went to my Redfish spot and on the third cast had fish-on, it was an exactly 27 inch Red
couldn't do no better than that so I went on back to the flats ta try the Trout again
fished for an hour with no bites and was gonna just run in when I decided ta hit the point of Bottoms before I give up, about 6 cast later, I got to actually watch as a Cobia swam up to my new Skitter Walk and inhale it
after about 5 minutes of give and take, I netted the fish and she proceeded to break the replacement rod into 4 different pieces in short order
only 30 inches so, back overboard with her
loaded up and went back to Crum's, they said I needed ta catch smaller fish when they give me another replacement rod
"no hassle over it though"
all in all a pretty good day

I have a camera MJ, but the last time I took it on the boat, I had to send it off for replacment "it don't like being even near the water"
I just have an old cheapie Kodak I take in the boat in a water-resistant case. It's been wet a couple of times, dropped several times and still seems to keep clicking. Here's a shot I took Friday in Jacksonville....I have a camera MJ, but the last time I took it on the boat, I had to send it off for replacement "it don't like being even near the water" I hope ta find a water resistant one CHEAP some day

Not intending to steal your thread, but I managed to keep the camera relatively moist after this shot and it still works. I even have to use duct tape to hold the battery door closed....
