Re: Scallop reports Lanark/St Joe ????
Water is terrible in the head of the bay. Eagle Harbor area is clean and plenty of trout and flounder. Redfish have vanished for some reason, but it has pretty much been that way all year.

Re: Scallop reports Lanark/St Joe ????
Heard of two reports from yesterday in St. Joe. Between the two boats only 10 scallops were found. No joke.
Re: Scallops
I fished St. Joe yesterday and it was nasty. Alot of brown dirty water. Unfortunately all of Port St. Joe and Cape San Blas drain into the bay so there is alot of fresh storm water in the bay especially on the St. Joe/Presnells side of the bay. The water around Eagle Harbor was somewhat cleaner but ...

It was good seeing you guys. Glad your boy had a good time. Sorry about your gear getting jacked at the weigh in though. I wish I could have caught them doing it.

Re: Cape San Blas/ Port St.Joe this weekend
Pompano are being caught off the cape. Just dig up some sand fleas and use a 2 hook pompano rig with a 1-2 oz. pyramid weight. Big flounder were being caught at the stump hole last week, but not sure if they are still around.

Re: Highland view area of PSJ
Highland view is a little run down for sure. Not sure about the crime and all that but its kinda sketchy for sure. I don't know what your looking to spend but I can think of better neighborhoods for sure. The sewage and water hook up fees are that high because the city and county is run by a bunch o...

Re: Newbi needs recommendation on spinning surf casting rig
I hit the local tackle store tent sales for my beach fishing rigs. I use to take my high dollar stuff down to the beach but when the first one got pulled over into the sand and water I gave that up. I bought 4 no name spinning combos for $20-30 a piece and have been using them for the last 2 years w...

Sight fishing is awesome around that area in spring and summer. It is still kind of slow out there right now but it should pick up on the next couple of weeks.

Re: Cobia Fishing
Spanish are being caught in St. Joe Bay already. We are hoping that the cobia will show up a little sooner this year. The water temp was 63 degrees this weekend and I think 68 is the magic number for the cobia run.
