Re: How to clean redfish video
I've used that knife and method of cleaning reds for several years now. I love that knife.

Re: For Sale 18.5 Maverick Master Angler
Nolefear, try mbcforum.com. There have been several guys over there looking for MA 18's this summer, and there have been a few 21 redfishers/master anglers for sale there over the summer. Here's one over in Jacksonville that looks to be in great shape: http://jacksonville.craigslist.org/boa/46035826...
Re: snakes...
Coloration varies from snake to snake, but usually the larger and older they get, the more their patterns fade. When they're born, they all have a pretty vivid pattern and the tips of their tails are yellow. Could be wrong but I'm betting the 3rd snake was the smallest of the 3? Snakes don't bother ...

Not fishing related--Infiniti G35 FS
If anyone is looking for a very nice in-town car, I'm selling my dad's 2008 Infiniti G35 Journey Package. It's in excellent shape and he loves the car...he just needs a truck for practical purposes. https://farm3.staticflickr.com/2935/14526995810_5080fb9a29_s.jpg https://farm4.staticflickr.com/3897/...

Re: What ramp help?
There's a concrete slab at leonard's landing, but most of it (if not all) is buried now. Even when it was there, it was all but useless unless you could push your boat off the trailer without it touching the water. Lanark is the way to go.

Shephard's has them in Thomasville. Straight shot up 319, but that's still pretty far out of the way.

Talked to Mike at Mike's Marine Way this morning and may be taking it to him next week. Thanks for the recommendations.

Who has a guy they recommend...
Have a few small electrical issues I need to address and possibly need to replace the motor on my port trim tab. I'm trying to get this taken care of asap, and may not have time to get to it this week or next on my own. Anyone have a guy they recommend who does great work with fast turnaround?

Re: Need advice on catching bait -dog island
Shouldn't have much trouble loading the livewell with pinfish from any of the grassflats on the backside of either island. If you choose to run out around the east end of DI, the reef is loaded with them. Throw a little chum, then tip your sabiki rigs with small chunks of "scrap" gulp or w...
Re: sailcats
If you really want to catch a sailcat, fish mud cover off alligator point. The area straight out from St. Teresa...between the point and Turkey flats...is another great place to try for them. Make sure you use the highest quality Fluorocarbon and hooks you can find, and the best baits. In fact, just...

Re: Looking for a new to me boat.
How "new" does the boat have to be? There are some great deals on used Hewes if you look hard enough. Most in that price range are 90's boats, but the old Lappy hull Hewes are some outstanding flats/bay boats, and anything newer than '89 has no wood in the hull from what I can remember.
Re: sailcats
Can't speak from experience because I've yet to eat a snot cat, but I've been told by several folks that they're great eating.

Re: Looking for a new to me boat.
You can get a great used boat for $10,000. Figure out what type of fishing/boating you intend to do, then start cruising the Craigslist classifieds. If you can, have a professional who you trust look the boat over completely before putting any money down.
