Re: Water clarity @ SW
Water clarity near St. Marks was abysmal yesterday (Wednesday), per a first-hand report. No better than last Saturday right after the week of rain. Guess it will take a bit longer to clear up, assuming no major rains again. Any report on Keaton?

Re: Water clarity @ SW
Thinking of scalloping at Keaton Beach this Friday, so any up-to-date water clarity report on that area would be greatly appreciated. I will post a water clarity report for the St. Marks east flats later today.

New Inshore Boat?
This may be a little too wide open, but what the heck. If you had about $15K and wanted a new inshore fishing boat to do the following, what brand (or brands) of hull and outboard would you buy, what style of hull, what size and HP, and what equipment would it have?:

Levy Bay Non-catch Vets Day
Fished middle of falling tide for three hours Veterans Day afternoon wading near the ramp at Levy Bay. Worked the creek, especially grass points, holes, and creek mouth. Gorgeous calm weather. Used a red jig head with new penny Gulp tail, used a gold spoon, used a Mirrolure sinking twitch bait. Nary ...

Congrats, JS! Reds weren't there at Wakulla Beach on Sunday 8 am to 1 pm on a strong falling tide. Fished hard from all the way up inside west of the ramp to the outside with shrimp, Gulps, gold spoons, spinnerbaits, and nada to show for it but a puppy and a couple of ladyfish. Oh well, at least we ...

Still Wanted- 12' Aluminum Hull
Reposted, 'cause I'm still looking:
Looking to buy a 12-14 foot aluminum boat to match 8 hp Yam and trailer I already own. Prefer light weight, semi-vee, high gunwhales, welded, 15 HP rated or less, but not really that picky. Just want to go while the reddin's good.

Arrived at Dickerson Bay 8 am Sunday to fish last part of falling tide. The gray-black ceiling scared us from putting the canoe in, so we waded. Caught one 24 inch red on a gold spoon first thing (sorry, no pic). Wife got a ladyfish on a Redfish Magic. Watched a guy cast net some mullet nearby in a ...

Thanks for the reds report, TC. Maybe you coulda pinched the tail a little tighter on that sub-18, but glad you didn't take a chance. Jealous that you got to go on Wednesday. Congrats on the catching! :-)

YardYacht, is the Grady gone, or are you looking for something smaller?
Hi, TC- We still have the Grady, but we find ourselves wanting to spend more time inshore these days, what with gas prices, high seas, and our grouper holes no longer producing like they used to. Let's just say we want to be ...

Good point, Rocket. Thanks for the link. I have definitely considered getting a real flats boat with more room and power to get me away from a squall faster. My 20 foot Grady in the side yard gets lonely when I stay inshore, but I'm not quite ready to jump on another complete rig, especially without ...
