Dick Bowles passes

I looked through and did not see it posted, Ranaman called me this afternoon and told me of the passing of Dick Bowles. My grandfather had a place next door to him when I was a kid and he would take me fishing on occasion. As you know he was the writer of the fishing reports for the big bend section ...

Nice report. Love seeing all the wildlife out there. Most fishermen have speed in mind. Enjoy cruising and looking for things I have not seen before. Those jellyfish are beautiful creatures in the water, just not on me!!

Lanark 13th, 14th, 15th

Went offshore fishing for three days out of Lanark. Water temp at 86 degrees and stormy a couple of days. Fished as shallow as 45 and as deep as 105. Most of the fish caught in 95 and 60. Limited on red grouper and red snapper every day (not hard with new regs) but did find a lot of big lane snapper ...

This is a great fishing area. Go to Captain Seagull's fishing charts and purchase a 19 dollar map of the area. Great numbers on it. Go near O tower and take and hour and scour the bottom with your sonar. Trust me it will be worth the time and you will find your own little honey holes. I gave a ...

Man, that was a nice one there. Good job! I will carry some live shrimp and see if maybe I can get lucky. Do they hang at structure, live coral, wrecks?

Hogfish?

I saw where dophinatic went out this past weekend and the divers got some hogfish. Have any of you ever gotten into them out of the Carrabelle area. I have always wanted to boat one. Do any of you have any suggestions on catching these?
