St. Joe intercoastal

Headed to St. Joe in the morning (Friday) heard trout were biting up the intercoastal. Anyone have a report?

Re: Mullet

Seems we have a mixed bag on the Mullet. The reports I have are from people around the Apalacicola to Panacea area. Sounds like the mullet are in better shape back to the east. The folks at "MY WAY" say the row have been very hard to find in the Panacea area and they clean a lot of mullet.

Mullet

This has been one of the most uncommon years for mullet. Our local mullet should already be in the heavy roe season and they are far from it. The fish are poor and thin with some are noticbly sick loooking. I heard the locals on the coast saying that some have stopped eating them as well. Can anybod...

Cast Netting

Wanting to do some cast netting for mullet the next few days, has anyone got any info to share in the area? Tried off the pier at Mexico Beach Tuesday but no luck there. We love to eat mullet around Thanksgiving :lick:

Re: Lowrance, Hummingbird, or Garmin

West Marine has a neat little combo LowRance GPS/sounder on sale for $215.00 right now. I bought one today since my old Garmin is 10 years old and has developed a moisture problem and I cant see the screen info anymore. The LowRance has a map already loaded on it that has detailed marking and public...

Re: sheep head

Sheephead are very plentiful this time of year in the Apalacicola around Bloddy Bluff and the Brothers area. They can be caught on the bottom with Fiddler Crabs for bait. Just toss the FC out there with weight to hold the bottom and pull right before the bites ;-)

Re: Motor Problems

All these sound like great suggestions. Thinking I will start with the fitting on the tank and then move on to the fuel pump diaphram. Thanks

Re: Econfina Buoys

Fished Econfina on Thursday and noticed two guys with a boat load of orange balloon type bouys. One guy was in the water with a snorkel and mask like they were going to anchor the bouys out at the mouth of the river. They looked official like government of some sort. That was about 1:00 in the after...
