1st Night Fishing Adventure
With the big full moon being so tempting I couldn't resist the urge to hit the water. Hubby and I got the boat in the water about 1am this morning. The moon was full and there was plenty of light. Followed the markers out from St Marks with a flashlight leading us from one maker to the next since we ...

Re: Kids Tubing
Please just don't do what I saw this afternoon IN the channel at St Marks. A guy was pulling his small child on a tube as we came in the channel today at St Marks about 4:30 when EVERYONE else was coming in. He was giving the finger to boats as they passed him but you couldn't see the tube or the ...

Re: Personal Mosquito Control
This sounds crazy but someone told me about it and IT WORKED! On our back porch we had loads of skeeters and I wanted them gone. A friend suggested I spray them with windex...the blue stuff.....it killed them instantly! I was shocked but it sure did work well. When the windex hit them they went down ...

Alligator Point
Is there a decent boat ramp on alligator point? If not, where is the best one around that area to use? Any suggestions, warnings, advice would be appreciated! Thanks.

Re: Bowrider useful in the panhandle?
Hello to all!! I haven't posted in a long time but those of you that know me, know I have a Bayliner with an I/O so I have to put my two cents in. Everyone is right on here about the ski boat limiting some of the fishing spots and where you can put the boat in and out. I always watch the tides and I ...

Re: Wacissa trip with the Yak
Great report. I haven't been down the Wacissa in several years. Reading your report makes me want to plan a trip down there again. I always enjoyed the scenery on the Wacissa. It can be very peaceful and makes for a nice day on the water! Glad you got out there!

Re: St Marks River 8/2
Great report, makes me want to get back into Kayaking. It so cool to quietly go where others can't. Back in the day, I put in one time at Natural Bridge and went North from there, at the time there were lots of obsicals to get over, trees and things that had fallen in the river. Glad you had some ...

Re: Kill Switch.......Use It!!!
I am guilty too! I think I wore my kill switch maybe once. This makes me stop and think, thats for sure! When I ride the jet ski, I always wear the kill switch. I think if I got one for the boat that fit on my wrist like the jet ski kill switch, I would wear it more regularly. The one on the boat is ...

Re: Salt gear
I use, and I am sure you will want to try this, either a Zebco or a Firebird reel with whatever line it come already spooled with and whatever rod it comes with. My favorite one is the pink and purple combination but I have used the red and blue combinations with success. Great thing is....they are ...
