Fort Desoto Snook

I have to be down in St. Pete this weekend and we will be at Ft Desoto on Saturday and some of Sunday. I have never caught a snook before but have heard they aren't too hard to come by fishing along the shores at the beach. Anybody been there before and want to offer some advice? I'll be using ...

Academic Eligibility

For those of you that have been paying attention to the FSU/NCAA pissing match...

Re: 6/13-6/14 Turkey Point area

The sharks were definitely out in the turkey point area. We did pretty well on trout on Friday, but they all had worms. The sharks were fun to play with but get annoying after awhile. The guides are out in force in that area now too...

Worms?

Stayed insore on Friday and hit up Turkey Point and Dog Island reef for trout. Did ok, but when we cleaned the fish they all had white worm looking things in the flesh. No trout for dinner that day. Went offshore on Sunday and got into Red Grouper with the same problem. When we got them home and ...

Re: Dirty Water?

Went out to O-tower on Sunday. Water was calm, but dirty. It never got to that nice blue color. Carrabelle river looked disgusting.

Water was still dirty out at O-tower on Sunday. Never got blue, just brown with lots of jellyfish.

Re: new grouper regs.

If it has to be the arc brand that is total bs, and we should all buy stock in them. What a scam. I sure hope that isnt true. I agree, there is a lot of grey area there, but I suppose we will all find out sooner or later. Personally, I like the x-tools dehooker....it is cheaper and it floats ...

Re: new grouper regs.

If you're in Orlando anytime soon, BassPro has the X-tools extra long de-hooker for $3.99. Sure beats the heck out of the arc price.
