I had a cs semi-v and liked it until I was told that the fish were biting in the east flats and I was at shell point. It was early spring and the morning temp was 55 and cloudy. 3 weeks ago it was open but cost $10 to launch.... a week ago it was not open. We used oyster bay ramp ... you go like you are going to shell point but turn on the road just before Shares restaurant then 3rd road on left... Blue Dolphin st..ramp at the end.

Last week I went down at the last minute and could not stay at Shell Point village so I asked around and ended up staying at the old Posey's motel... now called the Landings in Panacea. $45 and the restaurant was very good. great report Tom.... I only wish that I was close enuff to take an afternoon off and go to the flats. We have good lakes and I'm sure that there are those that would be envious of us being able to go quality deer hunting on lunch break.... but this salt water thing is really starting to get to me.

thanks CS my sea chaser 1800 rg would be similar to the Kenner so the 52" shaft would probably work for me too.
