Steinhatchee Flats Fishing Report
Had a nice 4D/3N in Steinhathee. One day the boat trip was just tooling up the river since the fog on the flats was too thick for my liking - fog literally sat there all day. The two days we got out on the flats we had some fun. Fished grubs straight line, under a popping cork, and fished a red/whit...

Re: Steinhatchee Tips/Help
Thanks Swampcreek. Any tips on where you were? In the river? Flats? Depth? Incoming/outgoing?
Thanks in advance.

Steinhatchee Tips/Help
Very fortunate that my wife and I will have 4 days and 3 nights in Steinhatchee this week with a dock on the river. I would love a few tips for where the trout and reds are now and what they may be biting. BTW - I have a terrible track record with catching reds - I would love a few tips. We only get...

Re: Sunday - St. Marks River
Good job. Was completely blanked yesterday. Fished all up st. Marks from the fort to about 4 bends past the power plant. Mind saying where in the river you caught these?
Thanks
Thanks

Great Deal on Sonar/GPS Combo
I bought this Garmin GPS/Sonar unit back at Christmas when it was on sale at BP from $350 to $300. Then I saw this price at West Marine on sale for $250 and I took it back to BP and got a refund for the difference. It is on sale again at WM. I can't tell you how happy I am with this unit. I have bee...

Re: Saturday 2/13
Same experience. Me and two other friends threw every jig we had and nothing for 4-5 hours. Fished probably 12 different spots including trolling the river. Not even one bite. Last two trips I caught multiple keepers and a bunch of small ones. It looked like they were there on my radar, but they sur...

St. Marks Report
It had been years since I had done cold weather trout fishing in the rivers. Probably late 90's at the Econfina. Moved away and moved back in 2007, got a boat in 2009 and just decided to try it this month at the St. Marks. Both times we had a blast. Went on MLK day with my son. Went way up the river...

Re: Trout in the river
You mind mentioning what kind of lure or bait you are trolling with in the river for trout during these cold weeks?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Lanark
Do you mind giving some tips on which direction you went from the ramp, depth of water, and tide conditions? Did you stay between the Lanark Reef and the shoreline? I have been to this area once and had a decent time. I really like the location and change of pace to where I normally go, but I need a...

Re: Flats Fishing Seminar
Hey guys - I am new to this site so I never always know what is kind of joking around or for real. Is this a real seminar? Will this Captain focus on fishing options and techniques for areas around St. Marks mouth/coastline? I am new to fishing this area. If I come, I will be driving from Tallahasse...

Re: BEWARE DANGEROUS GEESE ST MARKS RIVER!!!!
When I was in school at Auburn we used to go bass fishing at Chewaukla (sp?) State Park near there. We would rent a canoe and get out in the lake and fish around the edges and sloughs. I was absolutely assaulted by two geese aparently protecting a nest somewhere. Almost caused me to fall out of the ...

St. Marks Fishing
Hey all you St. Marks guru's . . . . I recently moved to Tallahassee and have only made one trip out St. Marks into the bay. Picked up mostly trash fish and a couple of nice Spanish. Tide was going out and we went a pretty good ways out past the shallow area on the east side of the channel. I would ...
