Re: Panacea Rock the Dock Tournament MAY 30 - 31, 2009

The bottom half of the new ramp is installed and I looked at it yesterday. They hope to pour the upper half today or tomorrow, Monday at the latest. Its a lot longer than the old one and quite a bit deeper. Should work well. Nothing like a trial by fire for a new ramp.

Could be but cant blame them for wanting to get people in town and out there helping Hook Wrecks. Lets all fish the tourney and see if we can help out the economy and have a dang good time. Next year the pier will be built and we can see how nice it came out.

Re: Panacea Rock the Dock Tournament MAY 30 - 31, 2009

Bman,

The height of the pier is a hot potato. We did get it lowered 18" from the original design. I hope that makes everyone happy. The pier will be over 212' long. The floating dock is on the boat ramp side, but far enough out that it wont get in the way of the ramps. Yea we all need to go to Hook ...

Re: Panacea Rock the Dock Tournament MAY 30 - 31, 2009

Ok, so dont yell loudly at me but I am the civil engineer on the project. The commercial pier should be done by the end of July. It will be really nice when completed. Its a mess down there right now but they should start driving piers next week and thing will start to take shape. We had to dredge ...

St. Marks 1/27/08

Made a quick trip with the Family to do some fishing and a couple dives. Dove in 26' and 32'. No grouper in 26' vis was about 15'. Shot a couple grouper in 32' vis was about 25'. Very smooth day. Talked to some other guys who dove in 60' and they shot about six or seven total. Seems the fish are in ...

I need a place to buy some quality stainless steel gigs. You know the kind you have to pull the fish off.

Thanks for any help.

It was supposed to give us some last night, but it didnt show up, just cold and wet. We should be getting buried in it anyday now. At least that makes the duck and goose hunting better.

Hunting Club

Hey I have not posted in a long time. Sorry for the long departure, but things have been crazy. Anyway, I am looking for a deer/hog/turkey hunting club for my family and my parents to join in the North Florida - South Georgia area. Anybody have any suggestions.

Thanks for any help.

Joke about Fishing

I thought this was good so I decided to post it. Remember I am in Colorado so that is where the teams come from.

On a tour of Florida, the Pope took a couple of days

off to visit the coast for some sightseeing. He was

cruising along the beach in the Pope-Mobile when

there was a frantic ...

Two Weeks in the Keys

Sorry to take so long to get this posted, but I have been trying to catch up since getting back to Colorado. We went to Key Colony Beach from 8/4 - 8/16 and had a great time. We fished offshore three days for Dolphin and did some bottom fishing. Did a little diving and ofcourse chased the lobsters ...
