Re: looking for a post
Now that's funny. I want one, but not the shot to the head or broken fingers.

Re: Econfina this week
Had a great trip. We limited out on trout thursday, friday, and saturday. majority were quality fish, many 19 inchers and a few 20s. my biggest was 21.5 inches. one of the guys in the boat caught a 25 inch, 4 and 1/2 pound trout. he says this one is going on the wall.

Re: Econfina this week
Thanks. I didn't think about the tide chart. That will help a lot.
Good luck.

Econfina this week
Going to fish out of Econfina Thurs-Saturday this week. Just looking for news, weather, fish reports, anything you want to share.
Always have a good time there. Caught a 40" red fish last May.

Fishing Econfina Wed-Sat
Going to be hunting trouts and reds for a few days. Meeting with a few good friends. Caught a monster red in May. Would sure like to fight with it again.
And, thanks to whoever secretly emailed me a list of JumpTrout's secret holes. I really appreciate it. We'll see if they are as good as ...

Re: Bizzarley's Big Econ Red
Walked me around the pontoon boat three times. Took 3 hours (ok, probably only 8-9 minutes). He ate a 4-5 inch grunt. Gotta love live bait.

Re: Econfina in November
Really looking forward to the trip. I have been going once in the spring and once in the fall for a bunch of years now. We limited on trout in May all three days, with a bunch of 18-19 inchers. Great fillets. My wife expects trout cooked for her when I get home on Sunday. I don't mind.......

Econfina in November
We are going to fish out of the Econafina in early November this year. We have been there in September and October, but never in November. Really looking forward to the trip.
We went in May and I caught a 40 inch red fish. If I could figure out how to post an image, i would show off.

Re: Favorite fishing show?
I agree with all about Spanish Fly. I saw one where he tied a knot and used both hands, his mouth, and one of his feet. My wife likes Extreme Fishing with Robson Green. I guess he is some kind of an actor.

Although I agree with the collection of plastic baits, the first (and still favorite) bait that I used for catching bass was various sizes of Rapalas. I have caught bass on every one from the smallest to some pretty big ones.

Re: Spanish at St. Marks yesterday
I haven't tried smoking them, but put me in with the Grill Crowd. As a matter of fact, I grilled some last week for dinner.
I fished with a group of guys out of Econfina last spring and they all said they throw the spanish back. On the night we cooked burgers and hot dogs, I slipped a couple of ...

Re: SGI info
Do a search on the site for SGI or St. Georges Island. That is what I did last time and found a great amount of help.
Good luck.

Re: Rod/Reel help
How about special tools/supplies? Do you have web resources for supplies and tips?
I appreciate the info. I have been thinking of trying this for a while.
You can start as simply as a coffee cup and a box with V notches or as elaborate as a Renzitti power wrapper. I personally have a small hand ...
