Re: Scallop Season
You are right CT, but why do us GA boys have to show the FL natives how to do it all the time? Boats that haven't been cranked since this time last year will be drug out of the bushes to clog the ramps tomorrow. The boat ramps will be turned into mechanic shops. Think I'll stay home and let them all ...

I think i saw you at the ramp, I was in the blue boat. Slow day for us too, did manage a few trout after throwing everything but the kitchen sink at them. I guess it beats working though.

Re: Push Pole Suggestions needed
Again, thanks for the help. Didn't mean to start a fight on here. All i have is a little 18ft Sterling w/ a poling platform. It also has the pop-up clips on the right gunnel to hold a pole. Not sure how the larger PVC would work on this? BTW, I only fish JT51's holes so I rarely catch any fish.

Looking for a push pole for my 18ft flats boat w/ poling platform. Any advice or suggestions? Looks like the Stiffy costs an arm and a leg.

Suggestions needed for new rod
I have a broken e21 Carrot Stix casting rod in medium-heavy that I have come to realize is going to be a real pain to get replaced under the "limited lifetime warranty." I have called the company a couple times and only get their answering machine. I like the rods, but not the hassle of getting one ...

Re: Econfina, Aucilla
Find someone who knows and I mean really knows how to navigate either one of those rivers and follow them out or have them run your boat for you to save the track. Be very leary of the stranger at the ramp (Jumptrout51) who says "hey man just follow me, I know what I'm doing." You can do a search on ...

Re: Rock guidance
It not a matter of IF you're gonna hit a rock, it's WHEN. My best advice is to get someone that is familiar with the area to show you the safest places to run. Even this plan is not foolproof. Good luck!

Congratulations! A friend of mine went to the private screening of this movie at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta. He said it will change your life and if you have kids you should not miss it. Can't wait to see it!
