I think Shields Marina will launch you if you call them ahead of time...Like your planning on fishing Saturday, call them Friday and tell them what time, and they will have you in the water. Thats what Brett Shields told me last time I was there about 2 weeks ago.

We are renting a house on Saint George Island for Vacation in July (i'm getting married that week also) but the house we rented is right on the Apalach Bay has it's own boat launch and dock!! So the pontoon boat is going!

Google Earth is also available as a phone app. Realtime location tracking. pretty sweet!. I know it works for the Motorola Droid and I'm sure the Iphone.

Yeah it thought it was pretty slick that you could zoom in on the area you want instead of a GIANT chart.

Thanks for the loads of information....I found some Garmin 400c's on ebay for ~$200 because it's a discontinued model. That is what I mean leaning torwards, the only thing that bothers me is that most of them are refurbs and probably no Garmin support.
