Re: New Marina at Shell Point???
I've been wondering what would happen with this area. The newly proposed marina/boat ramp seems to be in the SW corner of the basin, rather than the NW corner where the previous developer (Heaton) placed a boat ramp which I think is still there, but blocked off. They had big plans indeed as seen ...

Gutterhawk is who I used recently (and about 5 years ago). They did exactly what you describe your needs are. I thought they were very reasonable.

If you are talking about the place on the right (going south), north of Crawfordville, I would not use them. Others will chime in on alternatives.

Re: Loaner Prop?
Talk to the guys at Shields Marina in St. Marks. They have a lot of demo props and can help you dial it in. 925-6158.
I'm not sure what demo props are but Shields does not do loaners. I'm sure they'll offer sage advice to help you get propped right, but have no loaner program. You might also try ...

Re: TOM WHEELER IS A MAGICIAN!
Yep Tom can make a boat shine. Do you recall what he used to get the tannin stain off? I used the Works toilet bowl cleaner and it removed the Carrabelle river stain nicely from my boat. I also tried FSR and Attwood Hull Cleaner and neither made a dent in the stain.

Re: Water Heater Element Question
Yes, draining it and replacing the element and thermostat is a relatively cheap fix. If you can run down a manual there are likely some troubleshooting steps you can do with a voltmeter to isolate the issue, but replacing the element(s) and thermo will likely do the trick.
