Weather tomorrow our of St. Marks
NOAA says 1-2 ft seas (Did say under 1 ft seas two days ago) with 40% chance of rain after 2:00pm.
I'm a little hessitant about going because the weather has been so horrible in Tallahassee lately. Plus, last weekend we went out with a 10% rain chance and it was raining.
Anyone hearing anything ...

Re: King Mackeral Fishing---St. marks
I'm heading out tomorrow after finally getting the boat working. We took the boat out and ran it a bit last weekend and we are ready to go offshore this weekend.
I noticed that the water temps may be getting cooler thanks to all of the rain we have had recently. How do you think that will effect ...

Re: Best way to catch Spanish mackeral inshore
BTW, there are a lot of weeds in the flats right now. That might make it tough to troll.

Re: Best way to catch Spanish mackeral inshore
I caught two Spanish on shrimp chunks...yes pieces of shrimp.....a little suprising. One was 16 inches and the other was about 15.
We also caught two trout...one was 18 and one was 16.

Re: Best way to catch Spanish mackeral inshore
Interesting. I might have to give that a shot when I take my boat offshore on Saturday and Sunday. I'm going with a friend tomorrow and fishing the flats so i was trying to see if there were any techniques I should try out inshore.

Fantastic. Thanks guys. I usually go with gulps on a bullet weight....they are quite effective.

Re: King Mackeral Fishing---St. marks
A flat line with a live or dead cigar minnow out the back while anchored and grouper fishing will get you all you want. Probably no smokers but who wants to eat those anyway? Plenty of 8-25 pound fish out of St. Marks.
You may want to run 50lb fluro instead of steal if the bite slows. :thumbup ...
