Re: Boat Electronics
x2 on having the battery checked. We had a bad cell on one of the batteries and by the end of the day systems went into low voltage alarm and started shutting down the FF, GPS, Radar, Sirus.

X2 on the Epirb....check those batteries on them things as well. Found ours had been expired for over a year. Shame the Telecom's won't install cell service out to say 20 nm. I think there's enough traffic to justify the expense.

Re: Full Moon Fishing at Night in the Gulf
Its pretty neat offshore but I'd highly recommend you take someone who's done it before. Navigating at night is totally different animal. We had some underwater lights that preformed fairly well but over all had limited results. Nothing on the grouper and didn't realize they really don't bite much ...

Re: Bottom identification
Youtube your bottom machine and watch a couple of videos and then go to some known hard bottom and get accustomed to seeing what your looking for.

Re: 10/12 & 10/16 Grouper Fishing
How well did the GoPro do as far as visibility and were you able to distinctly see bottom? Just curious if this would be a way to check out what's down there? Would be a cool way to verify what your numbers are marking.
