Re: Redfish 10/13

I almost always go out of rock landing. Went out yesterday evening again with a couple of friends and they were still there. I think we totaled nine. Three were short.

Redfish 10/13

Hey friends, Fished a lot last week due to being off work. Best day was Thursday 10/13, pulled up to the spot and adjusted...third or fourth cast and BAM, big fight.....Nice 25in THICK...he actually told me played linebacker on the Redfish football team. He fought me like a champ and went into the c...

Tuesday Redfish / Mackerel / Trout

Well not as good of a day as the previous post....but I was happy! We also went out of Rock Landing close to 8am, started trout fishing and picked up a couple of keepers and some small ones. Saw lots of bait, splashing and birds crashing...so we cruised over and caught some nice spanish, lady fish, ...

Re: Panacea 9/13

Hey sorry for the delay. I was fishing with a gold spoon and my buddy was using a spinner bait (redfish magic imitation) with new penny gulp shrimp on it. He caught three and I caught two. I really prefer using the spinner baits and I've never been outfished when I'm using it, of course, in this ins...

Panacea 9/13

Got out around 10am with a friend. First spot we tried was dead. Hit another one about an hour before high tide and immediately had a double hook-up, 21in and 19in redfish. Ended up with three more over the 30-45 mins, with another double hookup. The other three ended up around 19-20in range. Bite t...

Panacea 8/16

Hey all, should probably post more than I do but here it is... Went out with three friends Tuesday and told them not to plan on catching anything since I had not had much luck of late. Ended up with six reds, two under slot, one over slot, and three in the box. Add a flounder and we had a very nice ...

Re: Any info on the flats?

I fished Panacea area from 3:30pm-6:00 on a falling tide. I caught one 13in flounder and hooked a stingray in the wing somehow. That was all. My yellow kayak buddy was out there and didn't have much to show for either (and he normally does). My temp was reading 67 degrees in shallow water...and 65 i...

St. Mark's River...2/6/12

Still a little slow on the river today, was out between 11-215pm...not the best hours I realize. But we did bring home two decent trout, one 18in, the other 19.5 inch. We caught one on our last cast that was larger than the other two...but I lost him trying to get him into the boat....he looked well...

St. Marks, river, power plant

Hit up the power plant today (thanks for the directions), got on the water around 1:30pm, rising tide, shrimp on bottom. Tons of baby mangroves, bagged one keeper. 4 baby reds. Lost one trout at the boat, and bagged one. Lot of fun, wish they were bigger. Tight lines!

Re: St. Marks Fishing

Could someone tell me where the power plant is and the best way to get there, i.e. where to drop, tides, etc?

Many Thanks!

St. Mark's...November 16th...Report

Sorry it is a little late, but I just discovered this site. After 2-3 hours of catching only a couple keeper trout, my friend and were over a grass flat just outside the mouth of the East River and began to catch one trout after another. We ended up with 12 trout, all at or slightly above 15in, I be...
