Re: Help with new shallow water boat suggestions
Two more options for a tunnel hull all welded which is my next build after just finishing up this one. Personally, I'm going with a prop tunnel. I've read of too many issues with jet O/Bs and the consensus seems to be stay away from them. Then again, this IS the internet and EVERYTHING thing you rea...

Re: Help with new shallow water boat suggestions
Here's SKINNY http://flatscat.com/ If you go with a welded boat, SeaArk. They're built like a tank and use .125 material on the 1872 and up. They'll pretty much take a direct hit from a hand grenade and keep going. I've owned 3 G3's and gone from the 1652 to the 1756 to the 1966. They're nice but no...

Re: T-Top Questions
T-Tops are great and have their place. IF your primary goal is shade, think hard before spending. Depending on the angle of your boat and the sun, shade can be hard to come by. When I had my G3, I installed a Fishmaster T-Top which has breakaways so it folds. It is NOT as easy and they purport it to...

Gulp vs Live Shrimp vs DOA
Having always used and been done right by Gulp New Penny Shrimp, I'm curious about yalls opinions. I've been considering trying live Shrimp just for a test. Never used DOA so I can't very compare. Been reading up on rigging Live Shrimp and I've read using a #1 or #2 circle hook is the way to go.... ...

Re: GPSBABEL - Conversion help
Going from Garmin Homeport and adding in my waypoints saved as a .gdb file and then opening them in GPSBabel (interface) and from there trying a conversion. Actually just thought of something, I'll have to check homeport to see if it can export as a .gpx file and if so, my HDS 12 Touch should read i...

Battery Chargers
I'm needing to get 2 battery chargers pretty quickly for a trip next weekend. I need either 1 4 bank or 2 2 bank chargers. I'd prefer the 2 - 2 bank chargers. I've just spent a LOT of cash redoing the entire boat so I'm somewhat cash poor lol. What would you suggest in the $150 to $200 range for a g...

Just my two cents, give Ken at Propgods dot com a shout and discuss your needs with him. They rent props for testing etc. so you can fine tune till your heart's content.

Light house - 6-4
Put in about 9:30 and it was a tad overcast and just as we're pulling out a couple of lads were coming back in and said "it's raining out there" and proceeded to hold up a fairly large net that was snapped in two... "Redfish said the gentleman".. obviously had no desire to be net...

Re: Shimano Spinning Reels - Suggestions ?
Thanks for all of your input. I checked with a few guides on another site and order the following: Spheros 5000 and 2 Spheros 4000's. If they hold up like I think they will, come end of season I'll order a few more after evaluating them.
