Marine weather by Bluefin is good for marine weather. And Fly to maps: tides and currents, is also a good one.... for tides and currents. Both free.

Well, from everything ive read the Loran towers are no longer in use in the U.S. So thats why im asking this forum if anyone has any tips or tricks. Plus, if it did work, it sounds stupidly complicated. X Y Z, off set points and what not.

I have a BIG book of an old captains Loran #'s. Are these useless now? I have heard people say that you can go into your GPS switch to Loran, enter the numbers, then switch back to GPS. But some people say that you could be off by miles. I am hoping there is an ole timer out there that knows a trick...

What exactly is the "red can" at dog Island? Im going to assume that it is the red buoy that you loop around to head out to sea after putting in at Lanark ramp?
