I can recommend the tube'ing through the caves. (If you don't mind a cold butt.)

Dawg, I was there last summer but did not do any fishing. We went tubing throught the caves instead.

If you are arriving by cruise ship, they have to anchor about 10 miles from shore. If you can arrange to be picked up at the ship, it would save you a lot of time.

My vent / overflow screw is stuck. Anybody know a good way to free it? I am afraid I might strip the slot.

Sawbones, I agree with you. There has got to be a better way than 263. If you try that J.B. Clark etc. route, let me know.
Sometimes I will go west on 90 from 263 and then north on 159. It is not any shorter in distance, but it can be quicker if 263 is moving slow.

5 and a half hours from my ...

Eerman, been there, done that. It is now on my check list to clean the terminals before reconnecting the battery. Checking the plug is also on the list.

Sorry about the luck, Dawg. Makes me feel a little better, seeing how it will Easter before I am back again. Doesn't look like I am missing any fish.

Did not mean to imply we kept the trout, only that they were of the size we might have kept, if they were in season.

O-Bay 2/5 - 2/7

Did not even put the boat in the water. Bought my daughter 1 dozen shrimp and she fished off our dock. Final count: 5 trout (4 keepers) and 1 huge catfish. Everything off the bottom and near high tide. About 2 fish a day average.

Still not a bad way to spend the time with my daughter.

Now you have done it. The whole bay will be going to the Dawgs!

Welcome aboard anyway.

Not had too much luck this time of year, but if you are looking for deep holes, there one on the point across from the public boat ramp in the Slopchoppy and another in O river as it bends to the ...

You can catch reds and stripers in those deep holes until Thanksgiving and I have caught trout up around the state park as late as Christmas but you have to resort to live shrimp that late in the season.

mjsigns, we caught the majority of the fish in two anchor spots. Wind and tide were too fast to drift.

Ochlockonee Bay, 10/9

My buddy from Atlanta and I put the boat in around 2:00pm. The wind was too high, so we stayed inside the bridge and fished the grass banks. The fishing was slow but steady. We caught 7 or 8 short reds from 2:30pm until 4:00pm. At 4, the wind died down and the fish started biting better. From 4 to 5 ...

Ochlocknee Bay - May 29

Took my daughter, nephew and niece fishing Saturday. We launched the boat around 10:00am and went to our favorite hole first. After 5 minutes of tangled lines and baiting hooks, things settled down and then WHAM! Fish on. We caught two reds, 23 inches each in the fist 30 minutes and another large ...
