Re: New proposed trout regulations
I think that a January/February closure would likely solve this by itself.

Re: Fishing on 04/20
I fished the same area today, just a bit earlier. The wind was howling and it was pretty rough. At least the trout were chewing!

Re: Spanish - Dog Island Reef
I plan on trying trolling for them for the first time this weekend. I keep my boat at Shields. Any first timer tips?
I caught a few fishing for trout on the flats last week.

Re: Charter in the St Augustine area?
I highly recommend Brian Walker. I have been with him close to a dozen times. He can put you on just about any species you are looking for. He catches a lot of Cobia in the summer.

Re: WHERE HAS ALL THE FISHING TOPIC GONE TO
Some good lookin' fish! I can't wait to get out this weekend. Those black sea bass are always great to fry up in the cast iron! How deep are they this time of year?

St. Marks River 12/27
Had a great day on the river today. Great weather and a decent bite! Caught two short reds two short trout and one sand trout. Also caught all the mangrove snapper we could handle. They quickly cleared out six dozen shrimp. Lost track after 30 fish. Overall an excellent day to be on the water!

Re: Fishing Report 12/20/2013
Fished the st marks river today. Absolutely gorgeous day!! Caught one nice black drum and a few short mangroves. Decided to ride out past the lighthouse and was surprised with flat seas. I can't ever express how glad I am that I moved to tallahassee. We live in the greatest place on earth.
Re: Saturday
Looks like pretty windy! I am still planning on heading out hopefully the st marks river won't be too choppy.
