Next place to try?
Had good success (spotted seatrout) about a week ago on Dallus Creek (good spot - was surprised it was already "buggy" late in the day when taking out).
Next place (between Horseshoe Beach and Steinhatchee/Jena Wildlife Mgmt. Area)? Cow Creek? Sink Creek? Rock Creek? Pine Log Creek?

Lakes steady, but salty spots bring more action

Typically, February offers better action to the North Florida freshwater angler than to those saltwater-oriented.
So far this month, things have leaned a bit toward the coastal casters.

Re: Kayak Accessible Locations for March 1, 2014
How you fish ("slowly"), with what you fish (artificial lures vs. live bait vs. cut bait) and when you fish are equally, or more critical, to success, particularly at this time of year, as where you fish.

If bman isn't 65 years of age or older he needs a trapping license. Also, it's illegal for anyone to transport wild-trapped raccoons.
Hunting raccoons or opossums at night is allowed, but only .22¬-caliber rimfire firearms (other than .22-mag¬nums) or single-shot .410-gauge shotguns (using shot not ...

Re: Operation Racoon elimination
Got it a few too many raccoons in the yard. They have been harassing the chickens and raiding the bird feeders.
One got in the garage and that put my wife over the edge. So I decided it was time to take care of the problem.

Re: Operation Racoon elimination
Boogers robbed me last night.
Trap with the honey bun was empty- honey bun gone- and not tripped.
Pnut Butter trap was flipped over and pnut butter eaten.
I'm betting that was an armadillo who rooted it over.
Baiting them up again tonight and putting a few bricks on the one the diller flipped ...

For near inshore (1 mile out or less) fishing Garmin's TOPO Southeast is better than its Bluecharts.
