Re: joining 100lb BRAID to 50yards of 250lb Shock Leader
Check out Loon UV Knot Sense. Ive been looking for something better than super glue to smooth knots and this stuff gets good reviews, I haven't tried it yet, just ordered my first tube. I will post results.

Re: New to the area, looking for knowledge.
If I were you, out of Crawfordville, I would do a 24 or 48 hour rental of a Hobie Pro Angler from Wilderness Way on Shadeville Rd and Woodville Highway, put in at the Pebble Court landing on the southern tip of Shell Point and fish the bars and holes around Smith, Gull and Palmetto islands. Reds hav...

Re: joining 100lb BRAID to 50yards of 250lb Shock Leader
With heavy leader and half the diameter braid you want to use a knot called the "Albright Special". Look it up, easy knot to tie. Make sure you go back out of the loop the same way you went in. You should only need 6-7 wraps. When you test this knot with anything 60lb or higher you will fi...

Re: King Mackerel out of Lanark/Dog Island, Need Advice Plea
Buddy of mine was telling me a story about how the locals would "test" their Cudas on Eleuthera when he lived there years ago...They would feed a cat a little fresh Cuda and check it the next day. If the cat was still alive they would eat the Cuda...if it was dead they would eat the cat...

Big Kings hitting large pinfish over live bottom in federal water off Dog island yesterday. Robby's Reef buoy is covered up with great eating Chicken Dolphin right now too. Use a Clark Spoon or small minnow lure. They just sunk a 100' barge and a bunch more culverts on it last week FYI.

Re: Wakulla Beach
Pro Angler...that things a dream. Zman was a redbone jerk shad. Were taking a client there in the morning and I'm a little worried, that place is either on, or totally dead. Didn't have time to hit a couple spots I wanted to this morn though so we'll see. Might try the CrabZ for the first time, been...

Re: St. Marks area: Cobia structure within kayak range?
Konrad’s Cobe had the same problem...the top of the caudal appeared to be cut clean off. Is that more common than I realized? What’s the cause? It looks like it’s clean through the bone.

Re: Wakulla Beach?
People do, its a pretty popular kayak/canoe/john boat spot due to the conditions at the landing. There is good fishing all around the area. Oyster bars, rock holes, sand/mud flats, grass flats, creeks, you name it...Lots of shallows and places to get in trouble so learn the area and play the tides.

Re: Targeting Spanish???
Get your bait and chum ready by cutting a bunch of fillets off thawed sardines (any type of baitfish, so long as the fillets are a few inches long and no more than an inch wide). Keep the backs and heads in a chum bag. Get in front of the birds, cut the engine and put out a chum bag. Throw some chum...

Low (trolling) speed throttle improvement...sticky!
I have a brand new 150 E-TEC which runs perfectly in every way...except...when trolling. I get frustrated getting it to run at just the right RPMs because ut jumps around so much. My friends cant get it at all since it requires so much practice! I am wondering if anyone knows if this may be an easy ...
