I was down there this weekend towards the west and didn't see anyone catching much of anything on Saturday. On Sunday, I caught some whiting, tons of catfish, and a bonnethead shark. The folks fishing around me didn't catch any pompano either, maybe we were just in the wrong spot.

Haven't been on a boat since October, haven't seen anyone from the Forum since last February, sure, I'll be there. I'll check back later to see what is still needed, and will probably also bring a sack of oysters.

St. George Island (general update)
Just an FYI, no surprises I'm sure, but the surf fishing on the south side of the island is very quiet right now. An occasional whiting may wander by, but that's about it, just too cold I'm guessing. Flounders and a red every now-and-then are on the bay side by the bars when there's enough water ...

Hey Nole, did you put in at the foot of the bridge on SGI on the morning of 12/31? I was on my way back from Eastpoint and thought I saw a familiar boat and face.
