I’m new to fly fishing too. I took the 101 class in San Destin from Orvis. But now I need suggestions of places to go. I usually fish Shell Point bars. I’d love to hook up with other kayak/fly fishers. Please, not asking for your spots, just in the heat of July, do I go up the creeks in Levy Bay ...

Waypoint works as app on AppleTV also. Better than channel as you can get old episodes.

We kayaked the south shore docks and caught 6 under 2 slot trout on DOA shrimp. Wind kept us from doing better. Fished the out going tide for just under 3 hours.

Paddled out on Levy Bay this morning between 9 & 2 on incoming tide, light wind to start. Caught & released 1 red near oyster bars. Saw a pair of dolphin jumping. T-storm cut us short.

Nice place to kayak. Check wind on Weather Underground. Google maps will show you oyster bar and channels. Rain has kept me away, but have caught reds and trout there. Watch for mullet jumping. Tight lines.
