FISHING DEEP
Thought I'd share a fish story with you. I spent the last week with my daughter and son in law at their home in Delray Beach. We fished on his BERTRAM 28, which is tied at his back door a couple hundred yards off the intracostal. I have fished with him on the Bertram several times when we took the b...

COOL,BOAT FOR SALE
This boat is great for running around (no stopping) and runs good in skinny water. There are four places to hang your hat or jackets, and perhaps some flags. Run up on shore with your picnic lunch turn the boat over and WALA you have a table for serving up those hush puppies. The price is right........

POLE SPEAR
I'm fishing out of Light House Point this week. Sword fishing at night.
Should return soon. I'll do a drawing how to build one.
See you on the water,
Charlie

Pole spear
If you havn't found a ploe spear by the time I return from South Florida, in two weeks, call me and Ill tell you how to build one, better than store bought for almost nothing. I've been making them since 1955, and have shot very large fish.
See you on the water,

DON'T CATCH SOMETHING YOU CAN'T TOW IN
My brother sent me this picture. The shark was over eleven hundred pounds. Since they couldn't get it into the boat they towed it back to the weigh in, but got there five minutes too late. They didn't win the big money thay could have won. It was the largest shark caught during the tournament. Hope ...

SHARKS
I hope I do this right with the picture. This is a shark that would have won first place, but they had to tow it in and got in five minutes too late. I think my brother said he was about eleven hundred pounds. Immagine coming acrross him while wading/fishing. See you on the water, Charlie http://www...

WHAT A WASTE
I wasn't refering to the cruelty of gaffing the AJs. I was talking about the stupidity of wasting good fish. As I grow older I have a problem with folks catching as many fish as they can only to throw them over board. I have a problem catching or killing something I don't intend to eat. I don't thin...

BOATING MANNERS
I've been fishing here since 1968 and it's always been this way. More boats more idiots. More boats more drunks. The only requirement a person needs to purchase a boat is a down payment and a little credit. He turns the key and is immediately made a boater. There is more to boating than RIGHT RED RE...

HELPING HANDS AND THE BIG ROCK MARLIN TOURNAMENT
A couple weeks ago I had the pleasure of taking a couple of guys fishing during the HELPING HANDS weekend. Bobby and Curt. http://www.forumpictureprocessor.com/pictureprocessor/images/Jun1113_2.jpg Bobby must use a wheal chair, but that doesn't damper his love for fishing. He was unable to cast far ...

THE NEED TO KEEP FISH
There really needn't be a limit, if fishermen/women acted responsibly. The rule should be, " keep what you can eat..TODAY". Not load up on MEAT FOR THE FREEZER. A limit of five trout doesn't mean you have to catch and keep five. If your family can eat five in one sitting fine, but if three...

soft shell crabs
If you have a crab trap and can catch a few you can have soft shell crabs. They shed from now till winter. You must seperate them, and keep them in the watert. When you see the crab becoming a greenish color they are called busters. And shed in few days. Get them as soon as they do because in less t...
