Re: Cold Day on the Aucilla 1-17-09
I was down at the Aucilla back in the good old days when the trout and reds came in the river in the winter..and down on one of the best sheephead holes I know....right before you get to the island. The trout were biting almost everycast. My preacher and I were off to the side where the fish were be...

Re: St. Marks Fort 1-19-08
I have eaten several gar during my fishing experience....and they are about as good as I have ever eaten. Cleaning them is tough...the scales are like iron...and we had to use an ax to chop off the head....and tin snips to open up the belly...but it was well worth the trouble. Gar are delicious.I do...

Re: Thank you Mr. President!!!
Couldn't have said it better. We have had a good man at the job for these past eight years. He's made plenty of mistakes...but haven't we all. AT least the country has been safe.

Re: St. Marks
I went there last Tuesday and fished in the St Marks River above the town. We caught 10-12 trout...but they were all too small. That's typical of St Marks though.

Aucilla River Nov 21, 2008
We went to Aucilla today, Friday, Nov 21 in spite of the weather forcast. Arrived at the landing about 0730 to some nasty cold winds out of the north/northwest and some pretty good waves down the river....but we launched..fairly low water. We went down to the "rockpile" about 500 yds down ...

Re: minn kota help please!

My option was to repair it....or get a new one. I got a new one and have been using it for about 7 years with no troubl...

Re: Fishing Accident
In Moultrie, a few years ago, a friend of mine hung her lead head jig in the bushes while casting in the river.. When she foolishly pulled on the line...streight at her...the jig came loose and hit her right in the eye...putting it out. She lost sight in her eye over a hung-up jig. You can never be ...
