Assuming you will not have access to a boat the youth camp ramp is an excellent suggestion. Also you can fish from the bridge stubs and try for some Whiting on the beach side.

If it is a day game definitely try for the west side high up and toward the middle. Some excellent scenery on the east side but the sun can be brutal.

I am very upset about this terrible tragedy and saddened for the men and their families. They paid the ultimate price for our freedom. Earlier in the Afghanistan war a high school buddy lost his daughter in a Black Hawk crash - she was a pilot on a rescue mission - the family remains devastated.

Has anyone heard of Lionfish here in Big Bend waters? They are spreading in the Florida Keys, known for nasty venomous tentacles and gulping down small fish and mollusks.

Great report, wonderful pictures especially that last dinner plate! Moray eels have always scared me, I never have wanted to reach my hand into some rocks after a bug. Its illegal now but back in high school we would stab them with gigs.

A good morning for gnats! I do not recall such a huge amount of gnats like this summer, when I go outside they go right for my ears!
