St Marks Poon!
Headed out this morning to grab some pinfish and try a few spots for Cobe, but was rougher than anticipated. So headed over to east flats to about 4 foot, a mile down from the lighthouse to find trout. Fished gulp and shrimp and just started to find a few shorts when we started seeing flashes of wha...

Marker 24 10/27 & 10/28
Went out of mashes sands Sunday and Monday. Distracted by bait and bashing macs on the way out but finally made it to the shoals and grabbed a few pinfish in about 5-6 foot of water. Made it out to couple of spots close to 24 marker and got slammed pretty quick. A good 25 and a 23 on Sunday and two ...

$100 Bass Bounty!
Anyone heading out bass fishing this weekend? Well you could make $100 for a solid fish if you are! I need to get up with someone who's going out to a Tallahassee area lake and can put a solid bass in the boat, put it in the livewell, and then call me to meet up at the ramp and get video of them ree...

July 10 Lanark Scallops East End Mackerel
Headed out with the kids out of Lanark for the first time ever scalloping there and was super impressed. The market there was great and helpful, and launching and navigating was easier than I expected. What really surprised me though was how clear it was given the rain we've had. I had seen the repo...

Re: Lanark Water Clarity
Thanks for the info at Lanark Market but says that number is disconnected when called. It's the same number thats on their Facebook so I guess it's out. I guess I'll have to wait for a firsthand post.

Lanark Water Clarity
Thinking of heading down to Lanark to take the kids for some scallops but more interested in good water than numbers of shells. But St Marks was a bit of a bust so all things equal we'll ride a bit further. Hows the clarity after all of this rain? Anyone been in the last couple of days?
Thanks!
Thanks!

St. Marks Scallops 07/02/13
Waited a bit on the weather and watched it all around us but things stayed nice East of the Lighthouse for us to get some time in. Started west of the Rock Garden in about 5-6 foot of water (tide was high), and a quick scout down. Water clarity wasn't great and not a single scallop. Moved just to th...

Scallops and water clarity?
Did anyone get down to St Marks this weekend to scallop? How were the numbers and how is the water clarity with all of this rain? Saw that it looks like Lanark is doing good on numbers but never been out of there. Where to head if headed down there? How's the water clarity? Not as concerned about gr...

Marker 24 - 11/25
The wife and daughter went down for a nap at 11, so went to check my fantasy football team on the PC and decided to check the NOAA forecast shortcut for grins. Saw it was 1 or less for the rest of the day! :o Checked with the wife and then called the old man, and we were on the water by 1:30. With 1...

There are a couple of small rock piles a couple hundred yards off the point on the west side of Stoney. They use to have a small pvc marker, but I think it was gone last I was there. There is also the chance of rocks just under the sand in that area. I was clear of all those piles once, and went to ...

New Cobia Bait?
Picked up a keeper Cobia on Fathers Day. He had these in his stomach along with a number of crabs. Are these bulldozers or something different? Someone should make an artificial that looks like this!
