Had the same problem with a portable Garmin GPS, I finally found a solution, Believe it or not BRASSO will take the scratches out of a plastic GPS screen, If you use a buffing wheel, MAKE SURE that it doesn't get hot,, IT WILL MELT!

Brasso on a cotton rag, Try it you will like it.
