I think you are right. It is still avaliable and there is drop box for the fee. I thnk it is a campground and there is a gate but don't know if they lock it.

Thanks guys. Steve, if she goes the downstairs route she will not need a ramp since it will be ground level. Thanks.

She can not afford a typical in door elevator. I now this is a long shot but if anyone on the fourm has any ideas please let me...

Was at Shell Point yesterday and it looked like mini season in the keys except the boats were headed north. Moved my stuff to high ground too. Good luck to everyone.

Re: Scalloping Question

I agree with Redbelly, have tried around live oak reef and found only a few scallops. The rock garden is the place to go.

Re: Scallop season is a month away.

I was told that FWC is seriously considering closing our waters for Scalloping due to red tide and stuff this past winter killing off a large part of our scallop population. I was told if we want to go scalloping we will have to go south like to the Crystal River area. O well, I guess we will have ...

Hope it will be good this year but only the floods will determine that. Look forward to going somewhere. Love to eat s...

Re: Shell Point Boat Launches

There are no public launches at Shell Point at this time. The new county ramp will not be ready for a while. However you did say a small boat, there is a public beach that yakers and hobie sail boats launch at in the sand. Depending on the tide and size of your small boat would be the issue. I have ...
