Amazing Keaton Beach

It's amazing how the trout have congregated around Keaton this winter...it's very unusual for them to be on the flats at all. We went to Keaton Beach on Jan 23rd but the water was too low at the basin to put in...so we went to Steinhatchee and launched with no trouble...but the fish are not down the...

Went north from Keaton to Adams Beach area on Friday,Jan 30th and joined about 6-8 boats there. We started in 3 ft of water..nothing....went on in to 2 feet..caught a 19in. on topwate...

Keaton Beach

Seems most of the trout activity on the Gulf is around Keaton Beach. Went there yesterday. Not too many boats around the public launch site. Got out on the flats....there must have been at least 50 boats strung out...all along the shore...or within a mile of shore. Some went southward....we went nor...

St Marks River 12-22-03 First Day of Winter

Went to St Marks today. Arrived at the old fort to a low-low river. No trouble launching. Went up river past the power plant. First place we stopped....right past the tied up barge....was the best place of the day. Jigs were what they wanted....and that's what they got. We caught probably 15 within ...

another group of friends went to Keaton Beach last week. Greenhorns all. They went out to the left of the poles...nothing. Went out in front of Adams Beach....and whamo....they hit paydirt. Biggest problem they had was going under the 20 in. rule. Limited out too. Recon they are still on the flats?(...

Aucilla 12-21-03

A friend was at Aucilla today 12-21-03. They fished all up and down the river...over to the ditch...back to the river...above the island...blow the island...out to the mouth. zip-zip-zip. Not one fish.
Looks like the second year in a row no fish came into Aucilla....to speak of. :(

Did anyone else catch any fish last Friday (12-12-03) at Aucilla?
Our catch of 5 keepers was mighty skimpy for Aucilla in December....for 2 guys.

Aucilla River 12-12-03

Arrived at the river about 0730 hrs. Foggy-foggy. Low tide at 1006 hrs. Not too difficult launching. Went down river...started fishing above the island. Nothing. Went below the island where there were several boats. Caught 3 keepers by 0900...then some that were too small. Went on down river...nothi...
