Re: St. Marks Lighthouse
We fished the lighthouse yesterday and only caught one 17" Sierra. Lots of jumping mullet and some schools of minnows, but the water was pretty murky. Didn't see anyone else catching anything early afternoon, last of incoming tide.

Re: Lionfish harvesting
I wish the powers that be would place a bounty on the heads of these fish. At $10 a head these guys would have amassed a small fortune.

Re: Marine Electronics Install Guy?
Isn't there some place closer than Georgia to get electronic work done on a boat?

Re: Shell Point Help
Plan on fishing early in the day in July. Seems like last July nearly every late afternoon had lightning (except the 4th).

Re: How to clean redfish video
Thanks, Red. Actually, I just spoke to my son, out in Colorado, and his father-in-law has a forge and some knife making
tools, and I may have him make one for me.

Where do you find a curved knife like that for sale? It's called a beef skinning knife?

Re: Know any good small (6-10 people) charters
PM me if you find something and need one or two more. A relative of mine has been promising me he'd take me out offshore to do some bottom fishing for grouper and snapper, but in two years he never has. I'd like to give it a go if there's a good captain who knows where to catch them. No weekends tho...

Re: Shark Encounter
There are way too many bull sharks in the waters of the US. Here in Florida there's a size limit on them. I don't understand
that at all.

Re: anchor pole reinvented
An 8' grounding rod of galvanized steel, a small hose clamp, a clip to fasten the rope to and presto a manual power pole for $11.00. Do you put a 'washer' of rubber under the hose clamp to keep it from sliding? Can you just use a split ring or something to tie the rope to? How far down the pole shou...

Wiring for Trolling Motor
I have a 9 foot Sea Eagle with motor mount. I have a 36 pound trolling motor and two Interstate DC batteries with a Perko switch that can select 1, 2, or both batteries in parallel. I'll need to run wires from the batteries to the switch, each just a foot or two in length. Can I use 12 ga. wire (as ...

Re: Seatrout - Net or bring onboard?
Rubber net or any net for keeper. Or use a lip gripper in the water and dehook there if you're going to release it. Remember, you can't effectively horse them into a boat like you would a black bass as their lips tear easily, and the hook comes out.

Used Trolling motor battery wanted
I will rarely be using my 36 lb trolling motor on an inflatable 8 ft. boat. I'd like to get a battery that has a year or two of life left in it, deep cycle preferred.

Spinnner and Blacktip Difference
I just found another way to tell a spinner shark from a blacktip shark, which is important if you intend to keep one. I've heard that the small blacktip is good eating. I don't know about the spinner's table value, but the important thing is the Florida regulations on keeping one. The limit is one s...

Re: State Red Snapper Season Set
This is just another example of how the little people don't matter when it comes to political organizations or ones appointed by pols. The commercial interests have the money to influence, and we don't. And none of us individually think we're big enough to stand up and be heard. What probably should...
