Should NFGFC tournaments have a entry fee and cash payouts?

Some folks think you have an unfair advantage just by having me as a partner.Chalk wrote:I understand the challenge, but what about the tournamenttin can wrote:Stop your whinin. Somebody's gotta do it, and it just adds to the challenge.![]()

If winning tournaments was about the money you could POSSIBLY win, then no one would fish a tournament. My tournament winnings are less than 5% of my tournament expenditures.
Like TinCan said. It ain't about the money. It is about fun and competition and learning and socializing and winning Costa Del Mar sunglasses from SGO and Mystery fish money from Badcock and More and all the other things that make it ....just fun.
The $20 bucks is a friendly bet. The side pots are there if you choose to participate.
Check the records ...the winners change every time.

All you gotta' do is say TC, will you fish a tourney with me?
Then you could learn from a seasoned tournament fisherman. And probably win that day.

I hear you guys. You are correct. Each type of tournament is different. There isn't any reason to change this one. It does what it is supposed to do, and everyone seems to love it. Like Tin Can said "I'll get off my box." Money isn't everything, but it sure is a good motivator. Done....
Hopefully I'll see you guys in Carabelle, good luck.
