3 pm update - Wiley catches an 8 lb, 27" slob of a red on the TSS. No trout to speak of,we're currently the only boat in sight. Still overcast, but storms appear to have moved on. Would be a perfect day for tw except for the floating grass.
Boom goes the dynamite.

Well, we just got off the water...500 yards past the road to Presnell's and a trailer tire blows out.

Not going anywhere for awhile? Grab a Snickers.
Pics to follow.

A fitting ending to a long, hard day of fishing.

We got our wish and had a very good day and had a really good stringer of fish. We traveled East at 5:00a.m and got underway just after daylight. The early topwater bite was good and we had a limit of fish pretty early. Moved on down a little way and had a pod of cobia's swim by, and CC nailed his first cobe on a topwater shortly after. Had to dodge a rain storm and hit some deeper water and managed to find two good keepers. Off the water by 1:30 and hit the bar-b-que joint for some lunch. CC and I parted ways and weighed in fish at Panacea and PSJ. I nudged Casey by just a hair with a 23" 3.65 lb trout and his topped the scale at 3.31 lbs and 22.5". Ran into Barhopr at Bluewater in PSJ and he tried to talk me into buying a fly rod!! :-D A good weekend, can't wait to do it again!

CC's first Cobia (*note that CC has called Cobia a trash fish aka "catfish on steroids" :smt009 :smt009 )
