Trout fshing the lighthouse Sunday when should I go?

I'm going trout fishing sunday at the lighthouse and was wondering when I should go. I was goin got go at daybreak but the tide will be outgoing and im used to snook who wont bite unless its incoming.. also my lil 17' fish n ski doesnt like the chop all to much. I went last monday and had a blast.. it was like glass out there in the morning what should i expect and when should I go?

The flats maybe 8'to 10' water

The trout are biting a little better right now on a outgoing tide. Start in close and follow the tide out. Topwater early, as it warms up switch to soft jerk baits. Get a little deeper 6-8 feet and switch to straight grubs.

id be out at daybreak taking advantage of that high tide and fishing as shallow as u can. throwing topwater... maybe near or on the rock garden. creek mouths. follow the tide and the fish back out to deeper water. *shrug* if your boat can draft 2 ft. you can surely cast a topwater into a ft. or a ft. and a half. thats what i was going to do... but now i have a free fishing trip to lake seminole... so i wont be going. :thumbup:

i should be good ive had it floating in 10 inches of water (measured with my lawstick) no problem..whats an average draft?

oh i think youll be fine. i would go early. its a good tide, and itll be alot nicer weather wise and bug wise than going late. thats just me though.

it rained the frist time around 8 then around 11 it got as bad u could ever think of.
