Little Buck Down **Jefferson County**

Post by dolphinatic »

I was going to go sit in the woods this morning, but the bed felt too good  So, I decided to take the kids to school and then go to work. I spent the day working on the NE side of town, sweating, and thinking to myself that I would rather be sitting in the woods enjoying a cool breeze. I ended up my day working out Centerville Road, so I decided to run up to the property to move a stand and sit till dark. I watched a hawk dive on a covey of quail and squirrels run everywhere. No sign of any deer though :(

I decided that today was not my day despite the beautiful conditions....sitting in a deer stand wearing shorts and a t-shirt  That's a first for me. I stood up to face the tree, and looked across the road to find a doe walking along the edge of the road along the fenceline about 100 yards off. Then, a few steps back was another deer. The deer to the rear stopped, turned my way, then disappeared down the bank along the road. I kept watching in the general direction, and 5 minutes later, he appeared walking my way. I put the scope up on him, and saw a nice little rack. I let him keep walking and he kept coming my way. As soon as he made the turn to walk down the edge of the field, I shot. He fell and didn't move....perfect shot!!!!! He ended up being only a 5 pointer weighing about 120 lbs. but I'll take that  What a way to end the day!!!!

I was about fourteen when this guy shot a cute little buck like that and put him n the back of a Ford Pinto and started his drive home.
When the deer came to he freaked out the guy while kicking him in the back of the head he jumped out of the moving car.
The car hit a tree while the deer proceded to tear up the inside sure do hope you never walk a mile in his moccosins.
Yesterday it was taboo today it is normal what the heck will they be doing tomorrow?

When you haven't shot one this season, there ain't no such thing as a "little one" if it has horns :smt005 There's a ton of deer like this one running around on the plantation....we've seen much bigger, just not close in like this one. I didn't vacuum him off, but you could say he got a full detail
