This is a first, but I couldn't find anyone to go fishing with me today....so I went by myself. Another friend of mine was going to St. Marks, so I decided to head there and maybe hook up with him.
I put in at the fort at 8:15 and headed out towards the lighthouse. When I got to the channel, I decided to troll on my way out. Almost immediately, my line started screaming

. A few minutes later, I boated a nice 24" spanish. That's was a good way to start the morning, so I decided to try it again. About 2 minutes later...BAM! Another spanish...20". I continued to do this all the way out to the birdrack, weaving in and out of the crabtraps. On just one pass, I had 5 spanish ranging from 20" - 24"

. By this time, I wasn't too concerned about finding my friend out there. I ended up trolling the entire day, stopping once to throw a few grubs just west of the birdrack. I boated 3 spanish there and got broke off 3 times. I lost 4 others right at the boat and had to chase another one that just didn't want to come towards the boat. Needless to say, the spanish are everywhere. I was wore out around 3:30 and decided to head on in.
TOTAL FOR THE DAY: 10 SPANISH (15" - 34") HAD TO THROW THE REST BACK!!!!
